I learned to love baking as a child in Texas with my great-grandmother, BaBa. She taught me how to handle a rolling pin, that mixing butter and sugar is alchemy at its finest, and most importantly of all, that if you love what you’re doing, it will shine through in everything you make. I left Texas in 2008 to move to Washington, DC. As I settled into my new home, I baked for everyone - friends, neighbors and my boyfriend . . . who eventually became my husband. Coincidence?! More than 10 years later we’re still here, and I’m still baking.
